Pregnancy and Life Update...

Life Update:

It's my last week of teaching school and it really is bitter sweet. I am SO looking forward to summer and having a break however, I wonder if when school starts next Fall I'm going to be really sad and missing it? I know that will go away once we get baby girl here because I truly just cannot wait to be a mom!

I will miss these kids though, some feel like younger siblings to me and I'm excited to see where they will choose to go in life.

Kev is still just working at the store, he finished up his one class he took this semester for his masters degree and is liking having free time to renovate our house. We still have SO much to do on it but it's coming along and hopefully we will move in within a month. I will post pics on here eventually. That's one thing I need to be better at.

Kev is finishing up coaching the little boys baseball team, they adore him and he loves it. He spends any free time riding motorcycles and working on the house. He's been so busy lately and I appreciate it a ton!

Kai moved back home for the summer... maybe for good, we still don't know yet? He goes on nightly walks with us hahaha and I tease him that it's his inner 80 year old lady-self coming out.

Sagan and Nate finally moved home from KY and i'm dying to get to Blanding to see them and all the nieces and nephews really.

Pregnancy update:

I am 22 weeks... My due date is in 4 months and I'm kind of freaking out but I have to remind myself, 4 months is still plenty of time to get things done.

all my students are already obsessed with this little girl, she's going to be so spoiled and i'm already worried about it ha. I've been sick the whole time. I can't go many days without throwing up unfortunately and I still sleep on the floor a lot of times so my back will feel better.

I have gained about 15 pounds and don't really have a stomach to show for it so it's depressing to just see the scale go up haha. She never stops moving, and quite frankly it gets annoying ha but we're grateful she is healthy and well. We haven't really done an official social media post announcing we're pregnant and i'm glad we are keeping it more private, I don't feel the need to go and show boat the private parts of our lives.

I'm finally getting more energy though to work out more (Kev claims he will run with me but has only come once so far...)

Next Chapter!

So the secret is out and we are pregnant! After miscarrying twice we were pretty happy/nervous this time around. We are due in September and are excited for this new adventure.

We bought a house here in Escalante that we are renovating and it is taking MUCH longer than we had anticipated because we are completely gutting the whole thing.

I am still loving my job teaching and the students are so great. Just last night a bunch of my students showed up at my door with a bunch of my favorite treats and the nicest little card. I really have the greatest students.

I have been SO sick this pregnancy. I throw up after I eat pretty much anything except potato chips (my students brought me some). I've lost quite a bit of weight from throwing up so much but the doctor says everything looks great. Hearing the heartbeat was insane and just made it feel more real.

We are excited to get the house all done, have a kid and kind of start this new life. We also just got a dog! His name is Dutch and he looks just like Mugs so he has a special place in my heart already.

I told my students about my pregnancy this week and they were so excited and happy for me and are already naming our unborn child after themselves. The best name we've gotten though is Cleitus the Fetus haha.

I have decided to not continue to teach next school year because I need to stay home with my child. I always thought it wouldn't even be a "decision" once I got pregnant but it really was hard because I feel like I have put so much work into the math program and didn't want to "abandon" the kids. In the end I can still be involved so they know I can but ultimately I cannot put other people's kids before my own kids.

Kevin is LOVING living in Escalante and is so happy. Because of this, it makes it worth living an hour away from a hospital haha. He loves working with his dad, working with the kids with basketball and riding motorcycles pretty much every day. He lives the life.

That being said, he is the absolute greatest at taking care of me this pregnancy and I really have been spoiled and feel like I may be milking it way too much. He brings me whatever I need and massages my feet. My body naturally wakes up around 5:30 every morning to throw up and he gets up with me and helps me get ready for school. Seriously, the nicest.

Sometimes I still can't believe I'm living in Escalante and get sad i'm not in Blanding but this past week so much crap has happened on top of being sick and pregnant and we have had an absolute outpouring of people in the community bringing us food, texting me and just being great. The people here makes me confident in our decision to live here and start our family.

Lastly, we are scout leaders.... and I know nothing about scouting so we will see how that goes.

Life update:

Kev and I are both finishing up some online classes this summer and we live... yep, in Escalante. I never thought I would see the day! I accepted the math position at the high school and Kev is helping run the store with his dad. We love being back in a small town! We are renting out our house in Cedar and currently living with Kev's parents in their basement. It's been an adjustment to say the least. We miss our little Spanish branch back in Cedar though.

We were able to go to Blanding this past weekend and hang out with all the kids (Sagan is living there for the summer) and it was so fun. It is a constant battle between all the nieces and nephews to see if Kev is the favorite or if it's me.

1 Year down!

Kev and I have been married a year and I have been slacking so hard at updating this thing. However, for our anniversary kev got me a new camera that I had been wanting so I have no excuses...

UPDATE...

We are both still in school, this is kev's last semester of his BA YAY! He is still working at Cedar Valley Heating and Air but is ready to get a real job and start the MAC program. I am in my last year of the education program. I still work at the school running the Mountain Center and I tutor two middle school girls at night.

I am still in the YW and Kev is the branch mission leader. Those missionaries keep us busy but it's so good for us. Sometimes it's nice to have something pushing you to put God at the center of your lives and man has it been a blessing for us. The first year of marriage we went to Florida and Ecuador. We bought a house near campus (yay!) and for the past 3 weeks or so my first Brazilian companion Sis. Cidrao came and stayed with us. It's been a busy but great year.

We have been updating our house and watching Kai's basketball games and hearing about Bobbie's. We also got a cat named Katinka Ingabagovanana (Zoolander) but we call her Tink for short and kev hates her haha.

Okay well today in church we spoke about patriarchal blessings and personal revelation. I just wanted to quicky post my testimony of the iportance of personal revelation. We need to be more compassionate and charitable. Kev and i always want to do more to help people but its always hard to know who to help and what to do, this is why personal revelation is so important. we have been such slackers on studying the gospel since we have been married and we have to incorporate this more into our lives if we truly want to have the gift of charity and the opportunity to serve.

So here are some of my favorite wedding pics... I loved my dress but for some reason most of my favorite pictures I have the cape on... oh wells. Kev was determined to have red rock in our pictures and I was determined to have snow... well I guess it worked out and we both got what we wanted. Special K (as the sisters call him) thinks he is extremely photogenic and was digging taking these pictures. I seriously almost had a come apart the day before when pictures were originally scheduled and we realized Kev forgot his pants (hence the Special K)... thank goodness for Donk and Baylee who went and got his pants and left super early and then Kara was able to reschedule our pictures... oh the drama.

Life was just so crazy before the wedding... we got engaged Nov.1, 2015 and got married Jan. 2nd so it was a short engagement which I loved but that combined with my crazy school/work schedule didn't leave much time to just chill. Finding a dress wasn't too bad because Faldmo found me my dress a few months before I was even engaged!
The issue was... I didn't really care to have a big wedding and I think that bothered some people.. oh wells. Picutres, sealing, lunch and i'm good... I didnt even have a bouquet. Good thing Kev is so chill and was seriously such a good sport through it all...

Kev spent christmas eve with my family and I was so excited he finally got to see how fun christmas eve at grandma kathy's is... he left christmas morning to his house and i felt so bad he had to drive through the snow for four hours on christmas eve... seriously he's a trooper.

We didnt really see each other until right before the wedding but it was good and I got to hang out with all the nieces and nephews and kev got to go up north to visit his uncle Mark.

We went to vegas for our honey moon and basically just ate some really good food and chilled... I wouldnt have done it any differently, then we came back to real life real fast.

Shout out to faldmo for making all the craziness look so good in this video she made... she seriously did so much for this weeding.
